Skattkärrsskolan is now looking for an engaged special educator who wants to help develop our operations forward.

At the school, nearly 500 students attend from preschool class to grade 6. We are located in the heart of the community, but also have nature right next to us with pine forests and open spaces that provide great opportunities for play, learning, and recovery. Our students come from the entire area – from the community, the villa area Alster, and the surrounding countryside.

Job Responsibilities

As a special educator, you will be an important part of our student health team. In this role, you will work to strengthen and develop an inclusive learning environment where all students have the opportunity to succeed. You will guide and support teachers in matters of teaching, adaptations, and working methods, and you will actively contribute to the school's systematic quality work where your expertise becomes a significant resource. The assignment also includes compiling and analyzing results from assessments, evaluation support, and other screening materials. You will also be responsible for the school's pedagogical assessments and play a central role in driving development in the area forward.

The position will be filled subject to the necessary decisions being made.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a special education degree or equivalent pedagogical training. If you have previous experience working as a special educator, we see it as an advantage. You are a person who easily builds trusting relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians, and you enjoy collaborating in a team while also taking your own initiatives. You are confident in the relational perspective and have the ability to build structures that strengthen systematic student health work.
